Loaded Movement Training 03:41
Loaded Movement Training (LMT) can be defined as Task-Specific, Whole-Body Integrated, Multi-Planar exercise that involves moving or resisting an external load. LMT uses sub-maximal load, therefore opens the door to move in a greater degree of freedom.
While traditional training often focuses on specific muscle groups (Chest Day, Arms Day, Leg Day etc), Loaded Movement Training focuses on enhancing specific movement skills (Lifting, Shifting, Shovelling, Chopping, Swinging etc).
Proposed Benefits of LMT include enhancing:
- Tensile Strength in the connective tissues of the body
- Resiliency in Multi-directional movements
- Movement Competency
- Coordination
- Aerobic Capacity
- Joint Health
