General SIIT Guidelines 07:00

When creating a SIIT protocol follow these general guidelines:

  • Moderate intensity should be between 60-75%HRmax (higher or lower depending on ability). Durations can be anywhere from 1-5min
  • Recovery period should involve low intensity exercise (50% or below) or complete rest
  • W:R Ratio may start at 1:3 or 1:2 and progress to 2:1
  • Choose from the 4 main modalities (Cyclical, PHA, WBI, ADL’s) when designing a workout or section of a workout
