Here is my strength session. Muscular Endurance Push/Pull Upper Body.
First superset is Bilateral
Second superset is unilateral
This is a T-spine 7-step prep for someone with movement limitations doing a loaded strength training workout.
This block would be good to use on someone who sits at a desk all day, and needs to unlock the t-spine for an upper body workout. I would also use this block for any client that scored LOW or had an asymmetry with the shoulder mobility test in the Functional Movement Screen.
4Q Shoulder Activation Block
Hello,
My name is Amanda Jessop and I am a strength and conditioning coach in Amarillo, TX. I graduated from Florida State University with a Physical Education major. Then I decided I didn’t want to teach, so moved to Houston, TX and was in marketing and sales for a variety of industries. But I wasn’t passionate about my work, I knew deep down fitness is where I needed to be, so I got certified and quit my full time job to train. And that was 8 years ago. Never looked back 🙂
My typical clients are ones that have had past injuries, may or may not have pain, but want to continue working out. I take a ‘physical therapy’ approach to fitness. I use the FMS to help me uncover weak links and prevent injuries, and now I am excited to learn about the 4Q model to provide variability to prevent injuries.
When it comes to how I train my clients and myself, I do use LLT, ULT, and UMT, But definitely need to add in more LMT.
Looking forward to learning more about the 4Q model.
