Created this for a level 1/beginner/gen population looking to start moving their body more. I’m thinking ages 30-55. Those with traditional jobs who may have played sports growing up but have not moved in an agile/quick way in quite some time
Created this program to build off of of a session designed for pre/post partum and older population getting back into regular movement to stay healthy and mobile. Added in an upper body day and two recovery/work-in days. All workouts can be expounded upon from week to week
Created this program with an older population and a pre/post partum population in mind. Heavy focus on G2S movements that can be modified to add or subtract assitance
Created this program using a lower body warm up that was created in a previous week. Building from there I created a strength program focused on lower body hinge movements using supersets, followed by super sets focused on anti-rotation movements. This program allows you to go heavy for the lower body portion and finish with more accessory work type training with the anti-rotation work.
This program can also be used in a recovery type manner by keeping the load light across the board for the lower body hingeing and core work, even keeping the lower body work to bodyweight only.
As with the theme of most of my sessions this was created for someone who may be older and less agile and/or someone who is sedentary most of the day.
This is designed with the ability to do this at home or when you have minimal equipment around or in the gym as well
Hi, I was looking back through this discussion and I can’t seem to find the one that I posted, so just making sure that this get out there. I designed this with full body in mind. I have been sick for the past week and designed this mobility block with someone like me in mind or someone who has been sedentary for a while and needs a slow, gentle into back into movement.
Would you change the traditional ankle band walks to the more explosive ones. Where you take a step and allow your foot to quickly return to its’ starting position
Here is the block that I created. I generally work with a population who are trying to remain healthy, shake away the stiffness from work, who may be older and need to work on mobility and waking up their muscles/focusing on quality movement. I picked lower body to focus on as most of my clients work a traditional seated job, or like I said, are older so movements of getting up and down are more challenging.
Hi my name is Sadie Finkel. I am a coach of group classes, personal training, and Olympic weightlifting. I did not go to school for this but am lucky to work with and be mentored by someone with a lot of experience in the field who is continuing to help me grow and learn. I work with clients who want to be in shape for everyday life-they don’t have specific goals except to move their bodies and feel good on a day to day basis. I’m looking forward to learning and growing in my practice when it comes to programming. I definitely have a bias towards LMT and am excited to get more experience programming in the other quadrants.
